Powdersville Volunteer Fire Department - Powdersville, SC

Powdersville Volunteer Fire Department- Established 1964
In 1963, a community in the upstate of South Carolina decided to work towards building a fire department that would protect the local community. Powdersville Volunteer Fire Department was born in 1964. On October 30, 1964 after many hours of hard work from the local community raising funds and building the fire station itself, the department made its first emergency response to a grass and woods fire sending three firefighters to the incident. In 1964, the department was responding with a 1964 American LaFrance Pumper and a 1959 Tanker apparatus.
Many years later, this community born volunteer department now boasts of a growing community and over 30 men and women who still serve selflessly in a volunteer capacity. Powdersville’s Station 7 has become the pride and joy of the community. It’s speaks to the heart of the true American Fire Service for PVFD to continue to provide selfless service to the growing community around them at many high demands and expectations. As a community who knows what they face as volunteers and what they do to represent Powdersville, support Station 7 and these firefighters by purchasing a shirt on their behalf.
Purchase a shirt and wear it proudly, knowing that the money raised from the sale of these shirts goes directly back to support your fire department and its members. West Broad Apparel is excited to feature Powdersville Volunteer Fire Department in the West Broad Project.
Thanks for your support!
